It’s that time of year again when all of us in the Microsoft Dynamics community join together in peace and harmony for our annual ‘lovefest’ – the Convergence Show. This year the show rolls into New Orleans and I doubt the French Quarter will ever be quite the same. Nothing like a few thousand of us tech types stumbling around after a few hurricanes with customers and partners after a hard day’s work at the show while trying to Twitter, SMS, photograph and email – most likely ALL at the same time. 
Truthfully, this is an amazing show full of innovation surrounding the Microsoft Dynamics line of business applications. Partners and customers come from all over the world to see solutions, add-ons and integrations around Dynamics CRM, RMS, POS, GP, AX and NAV. The partner community around Dynamics is unique across my years in the business, being a more rich partner ecosystem with true collaboration than I’ve seen at most other points in my career. While we expect the current economic conditions to bring decreased attendance, we’ve also seen quite a few new partners exhibiting this year alongside old friends we’ve worked with for years.
Engage will be announcing a new community around the Dynamics platform at this year’s show – one designed for resellers and ISV’s to have both an online solution set to demo their wares as well as a hosted option for most all things ‘Dynamics’. We will be posting the community site live later this week during the show – www. DynamicsonDemand.com – but for now, suffice it to say that we’ve gotten a lot of positive input from many partners and customers driving the need for this offering in the market.
While here we’ll also be showing some of Engage’s solution accelerators, particularly those around the Healthcare and Retail market, as well as some of our software solutions for Commerce, Communications and Continuity.
I’ll put up a few more posts throughout the week, but thought I’d post a snapshot of the booth before it gets ‘mauled’ by the crowds when we open in a few minutes.
