We had a good morning in some planning sessions and team building exercises. The team and I also went into some technical deep dive sessions with our new resident author Philo Janus. Philo was able to do some outstanding demos on Sharepoint and Business Intelligence via OCS 2007.
But then it was time for some fun. My first stop was Kalkaska, MI for some fishing and what luck – skill
– we had today. As you can see I went home with a trophy!

After some fishing we went up to Torch Lake for an evening cruise and dinner.

We spent the night at a friend’s estate overlooking the pristine waters of Torch Lake. Torch Lake at 19 miles long is Michigan’s longest inland lake and at approximately 18,770 acres is Michigan’s second largest inland lake. The lake is about two miles wide and has an average depth of 111 feet making it Michigan’s deepest inland lake. It is a popular lake for fishing, featuring lake trout, rock basss, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, muskellunge, ciscoes, brown trout, rainbow trout, and whitefish.
Had a great time. One more day and then off to Seattle.
